This week has been crazy busy which is why I cannot write until now. But long story short:
Breakfast: Margie (RD) came to visit my host family Tuesday and I begged her to tell my host family to stop feeding me breakfast. It worked. Now I just take a crap ton of food to school and give it to Naomi. (Thanks for the sacrifice
fam).
Class: We learned the three curves a woman must have: boobs, waist, and butt. Also, if you have a good butt, it’s called a “duck booty”. I have no idea how this conversation even started, but now I know how to say boobs in Chinese. That’s a plus I guess??
TINGXIE: Why have had three tingxies in a row?? This is unacceptable.
IOPP: Thank you Margie for giving me a three day warning about this presentation. I’m not bitter.
Old people's home: I told an old lady my life story using photos, because I didn’t know what else to do. She was really sweet. (This was community service btw)
Children: I had to tutor small children in English and one of them started singing: 我就喜欢天啊你蛮！Or “I just like Tiananmen”. Shook.
Three page test: I have another tingxie on Monday + grammar on 65 characters. I want to die.
Period: Never take midol on an empty stomach.
Sneaking out: My host family is trying to get me to go see some relatives in a near-by city, but they didn’t get the RD’s permission. I kept trying to tell them that I was going to get sent back to America if they took me and someone found out, but my host mom just laughed and said: they can’t find out if they don’t say anything hahahaha. I will say, her dad owns a dessert shop and NGL, that’s a major plus for wanting to go.
