Wake up: 6:45
Breakfast: Pancakes (still have no idea wtf these things are), and some really good cheesy bread.
Class: We went over lines for the play, and our first teacher bought us drinks from the thirsty frog.
Hats: I took Ben’s hat and it turns out I look really cute in it. I tried to wear it for the fourth class, but he refused to leave our classroom unless he got it back. Dw, everything got worked out in the end because Anushka “ambushed” him after class and took it back for me. I got to look cute for the rest of lunch before it was rudely taken back from me.
Lunch: We went back to the 南大 store and I bought a panda because why the frick not? I wanted one of the cups, but my peers talked me out of it. Tbh, I don’t really use mugs that often anyways, but it still would have been nice to have. I think I’ll go back tomorrow and buy a tee-shirt. After the store, we went to the convenient store and bought a ton of snacks. I got some Oreo pocky, milk candy, and my usual chips.
Drama rehearsal: This play is weird, and I have to drink pee. Why. (Thankfully lines do not have to be memorized)
Home: I studied for finals and watched youtube videos.
Dinner: DUMPLINGS FOR DAYS
Home alone: My host family went on a walk while I studied for finals.
Grocery store: I went with my host family to buy ingredients for my American breakfast. I’ve decided to make breakfast sandwiches (eggs and bacon and BLT). On the walk to the store, I talked to my host mom about how I was getting back to America. She asked me if I was going back by myself and I explained I’d fly to America with my classmates to San Francisco, but then we’d part ways. She then asked me how I’d get home and I just said: I can read English. She laughed and then told me to be careful. She’s so sweet. Also, she asked me how long I’ve lived without my parents, which didn’t make sense at first. I think she thought I didn’t live with my parents since I’m going to be a college student lol. Also, why doesn’t China have sausage? Second: my host sister found cherry jelly and told me that their English teacher taught them the phrase “pop your cherry”. I was shook, so I shared that our teacher taught us 啪啪啪. She burst out laughing.
Hair: I told my sister that I was going to dye my hair, and I was sure she was going to judge me for wanting purple hair, but all she said was: “Wow! So pretty!”
Watermelon: I said I wanted the melon because I’m thirsty af and watermelon has water. Mistake. She made me eat half a melon. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Shoes: I keep forgetting to put my house shoes on. I keep getting scolded rip.
